The Barrie Boy Cut Briefs sewing pattern (for teens and women)- PDF
The Barrie Boy Cut briefs offer comfort and coverage without sacrificing style. The beauty of the design is a tall yoga waistband and low cut legbands- no irritating elastic digging in and creating lumps under clothes and full coverage without frumpiness. Snug legbands hug under the bum ensuring a wedgie-free zone even when exercising. There are two rise options- low rise for a sporty look great under lower rise trousers and mid rise for increased coverage. Both options have a gusset with a concealed seam for added comfort and protection. One of the best things about the Barrie Boy Cut Briefs (beyond how rad you'll feel wearing your own handmade undies) is how little fabric they require. You can whip up a pair in less than 30cm (12") of fabric!
There are eight sizes included in the pattern, ranging from a 30” to 44” low waist and from 34” to 48” full hips. It’s a perfect garment to make if you are new to sewing knits, requiring a minimum of fabric, and very quick to sew up.
For sizing and fabric requirements, see the second picture. For a visual representation of swagger by my testers, see the third picture.
The pattern itself prints over 16 pages and the tutorial takes two streams: a full photo tutorial with hints and tips for visual learners and a shorter crib sheet for more experienced garment sewers.
This pattern is a PDF and not a paper pattern, you will need to print and assemble the pieces. An email is automatically generated and sent to your Paypal email after checkout.
